This one-day course will show you how to use the Boxall Profile®, an invaluable tool for assessing pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural needs of pupils aged 4-18.

Sarah Lathan
Sarah Lathan

This training course will be delivered by Sarah.

Sarah is an additional needs teacher, with experience of delivering nurture interventions within primary and secondary specialist provisions. She has also worked within a residential and secure care setting using a nurturing approach. Sarah has a Master’s in Professional Practice in Education, specialising in adverse childhood experiences, and she is author of the book Creating a Trauma-informed Classroom.

The course will also explain how to create an individual assessment using the Boxall Profile® and how to interpret its findings to plan a response to pupils’ needs, using suggested targets, strategies and resources for the classroom, small groups, nurture groups or whole school settings.

As well as taking a practical look at the Boxall Profile®, the training will also explore some of the key concepts and principles underpinning its approach.
