Relationships Matter: the importance of a safe base, relational approaches that focus on behaviour rather than punitative approaches
Date: Wednesday 23rd October 2024
Time: 3:30pm-5:30pm
Location: Online (zoom)
Description:
‘The classroom offers a safe base’ is one of the Six Principles of Nurture, and we believe that creating a school environment which feels safe both emotionally and physically is a key element in ensuring that children feel happy in school. How do you create space for pupils and staff to feel emotionally and physically safe in your setting?
This month’s networking event will explore this topic and invite contributions from delegates from across the programme.
These live networking events are for all schools participating in the Inclusive and Nurturing Schools programme and provide additional value to participating schools. Session are delivered by our team of experienced consultants and external speakers.
‘Relationships matter: the importance of a safe base’ will be delivered via Zoom and will be led by nurtureuk Consultants, Nichala Johansen, Sarah Gristwood and Dr Suus-anna Harskamp.
The event is free to attend, but delegates must register in advance. Schools are welcome to send more than one delegate to attend the sessions. Each session will provide an opportunity for schools to share best practice and make connections across settings.
