The Theory and Practice of the Boxall Profile® is the first step for schools enrolled on the Surrey Nurturing Schools Programme. We recommend that the strategic lead for social, emotional, and mental wellbeing in your setting attends (e.g. SENCo).

This one day course, delivered to you via zoom, focuses on the Boxall Profile® – an invaluable tool for assessing the social, emotional and behavioural needs of pupils aged 4-18.

You will learn how to create an individual assessment and interpret its findings. This will help you plan a response to pupils’ needs using suggested targets, strategies and resources for the classroom, small groups, nurture groups or whole school settings.

As well as taking a practical look at the Boxall Profile®, the training will explore some of the key concepts and principles underpinning its approach.

Each delegate will receive a copy of:

  • The Boxall Profile® Handbook (Primary or Secondary)
  • Beyond the Boxall Profile® (Primary or Secondary)
  • Paper inserts for the Boxall Profile® (Primary or Secondary)
  • A course workbook

Following attendance, you will be asked to complete a webinar on the Boxall Profile® Online (approx. 2 hours) and we will get in touch with you to set up your 2 year Boxall Profile® subscription.

This course is accredited by CPD standards.
