In 23 years of teaching Carrie has worked in every phase of primary school education and believes that the principles of effective learning are transferable across all age groups, cultures and backgrounds.

Carrie originally trained as a KS2 teacher specialising in Computing, however she has taught every year group from EYFS to Y9. Over the two decades in education she has added ‘creative curriculum lead’, SENCO, assessment co-ordinator, Mentor, Pastoral/ Inclusion Lead, safe guarding lead, assistant and deputy head teacher to the resume. As computing lead she worked collaboratively and internationally linking Bolton schools with Hong Kong schools. As lead nurture teacher she has established nurture classrooms and has managed the environment, staff and children. Carrie expanded her skill set working for several years with the traveller community in education.

With a life-long passion for Eco initiatives, ethical ideas and Inclusive nurturing environments, Carrie led her school with national initiatives in these areas.

Carrie joined as a Consultant for nurtureuk in 2017. She now delivers and assesses the National Nurturing Schools Programme in conjunction with Boxall Profile® training and bespoke consultancy. Carrie’s ethos is nurture permeates all areas of life.

As a daughter, granddaughter, friend, wife, niece and most importantly mother of three daughters nurture is put into practice every single day!
